FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) — Police responded to a call about a man with a gun threatening other people in a home and arrested Oscar Ortez, 32.
According to Freeport Police, officers were called to the 500 block of E. Jefferson Street early Monday morning.
Police say that when he was arrested, Ortez had a .45 caliber pistol in his waistband.
Officers also reportedly found cocaine during a search.
Ortez was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He was taken to the Stephenson County Jail.
