ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Two people were forced to move out of their home after a fire Sunday night.
According to the Rockford Fire Department, firefighters were called to the 1200 block of Lundvall Avenue around 6:20 p.m. and found fire on the 2nd floor of the home.
The homeowners reported that they had just returned home from being away and found smoke in the house.
The fire was contained and extinguished and caused an estimated $25,000.
The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
