Freeport Boys and Girls Club receives grant, Ian’s fund

FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) — Ian’s fund was created by the Boys and Girls Club of Freeport and Stephenson County. It was established by Ted and Marilee Odendahl in honor of their late son.

The CEO of the Foundation for Northwest Illinois believes this grant will show the children that they have support in the community.

“Just sort of that continued feeling that we’re all in this together. That its, you know, family can be defined in many, many different ways, including community,” said CEO of the Foundation for Northwest Illinois Michelle Quast. “so just that knowledge that there are people who are looking out for me, and hoping to provide me with opportunities so I can go on, and build on my life from that as well,”

The fund will be put towards programming for the Boys and Girls Club.
