Rochelle woman charged with drugs, weapons crimes

ROCHELLE, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rochelle woman has been arrested on charges of drugs and firearms after an investigation into “illegal activities taking place” at her residence, police said.

According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, Lauri Watson was arrested on Thursday after a search warrant was executed at her home in the 2900 block of S. Skare Road.

Police said information from federal agencies led them to Watson.

She was charged with crimes related to drugs and firearms, police said.

Watson was released under the Pretrial Fairness Act and given a future court date.
