A motorcycle accident on Saturday evening in Jo Daviess County severely injured a Galena man. The Jo Daviess County Sheriff says the crash happened shortly before 7 o’clock that night on South Blanding Road near Hanover. Authorities say the cycle operated by 30-year old Matthew Steele was going to fast around a curve and lost control going into the ditch with the cycle landing on top of him. Steele was airlifted to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford for treatment.
