Word War II Days return to Rockford’s Midway Village

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The largest World War II re-enactment in the nation is returning to Rockford.

Organizers of the event at Midway Village Museum, located at 6799 Guilford Road, are expecting thousands of visitors over a weekend in late September.

The festivities will include elaborate and realistic 1940’s battles, complete with tanks, artillery and pyrotechnic effects.

The event also serves to recognize Rockford’s connections to World War II.

Re-enactments and other festivities will start on September 28th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and September 29th, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
