Rockford man charged with delivering 2 pounds of cocaine

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nicholas Clark II, 22, for allegedly selling large amounts of narcotics.

During the month of August, Deputies conducted an investigation on Clark. On the 19th, officials were able to converge on his location in the 800 block of 10th Street.

Clark attempted to flee the scene in his black Range Rover but crashed into an undercover police vehicle, according to court documents. Authorities said he then fled on foot, jumped several fences and was not located.

Police found a brick of cocaine over two pounds, over $7,000 in cash and numerous cell phones in the Range Rover, according to court records.

Clark was eventually arrested and was in the Winnebago County Jail as of September 12. He is charged with delivering over 900 grams of cocaine and resisting an officer.

He was granted pretrial release, and his next court date is on September 17th.
