ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – An important announcement for drivers who use Linden Road at the I-39 bridge overpass: This stretch will be closed to remove the old bridge. The road will be closed in the daytime starting Monday, Sept. 16 through Wednesday, Sept. 18. On Thursday the closure will happen during the day and night time.
