Rockford’s first responders have coffee with residents at Meg’s Daily Grind

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford’s Crisis Co-Response Team met at Meg’s Daily Grind on Thursday to have a cup of coffee with the residents they serve.

The Crisis Co-Response Team is made up of members of the Rockford Police Department, Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police, Loves Park Police, and Rosecrance, the behavioral health and rehabilitation center.

They met to have coffee at Meg’s Daily Grind at 3879 N Perryville Road.

“This is very important for us because we like the community to see us, meet us, and if there’s any services or any people that have services that would help other people, we’re here to get connected and get those programs to other people,” said Rockford Police’s Assistant Deputy Chief Paul Gallagher.

The CCRT has help connect 5,300 people to emergency services in the past three years.
