(WIFR) – The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) held an open house Thursday for anyone interested in joining its snow and ice removal crews in northern Illinois. IDOT staff was available to talk and provide assistance in applying at the event from 3:30-6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Rockford Maintenance Yard, 4109 11th Street. However, Illinois still needs plenty of seasonal workers and is accepting applications online.
