Du-Pec tunes up for Lena-Winslow by rolling past Galena

DURAND, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — There was no looking past Galena toward next week’s game with Lena-Winslow for the Du-Pec Rivermen Frida night. Okay, maybe for one or two plays because after that it was all Du-Pec. The Rivermen won 61-13.

Galena ripped off a 55-yard run on its first play from scrimmage. That was followed by a seven-yard touchdown run by quarterback Roman Romer to put Galena up 6-0 off the opening drive.

But the Rivermen owned the rest of the night. They improved to 5-0 overall and 5-0 in conference games. The Rivermen will travel to Lena next Friday night for their big showdown with the Panthers. For highlights of this game, watch the media player above.
