ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Emergency rooms across the nation deal with overcrowded emergency departments and long wait times. OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center Director of Nursing Operations Deb Anderson says when this happens at their hospital, they follow capacity alerts. Emergency department nurses will follow guidelines. If those guidelines don’t help, department will turn to support service partners within the building like the lab and x-ray team.
