JANESVILLE — Hi, My name is Hannah Powell and I am a new reporter at The Gazette.
I will be the community and public safety and courts reporter. I will be covering events that happen in our community and working closely with public safety officials to ensure you are up-to-date on the latest events happening in your backyard.
I am originally from West Palm Beach, Fla., where I enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps as a combat correspondent. While in the military I traveled all across Asia and parts of South America taking photos and writing for the Corps.
After serving five years in the military my husband brought me back to his home, Wisconsin, and we settled close to Janesville.
I enjoy spending my free time experimenting with photography and reading fiction novels.
I am very excited to get even more involved in the community here and to meet more of you.
