A Walk in the Park: Rockford park is well known for its disc golf courses

Anna Page Park is home to not only wide ranging disc golf courses, but it was also home to one of Rockford’s founders, Lewis Lemon.

The park features picnic tables, hiking trails for all ages and beautiful views of nature within Rockford city limits.

Key amenities: Anna Page Park is best known for its vast and free disc golf courses. The park has three full courses: The East Course, The West Course, and the South Course, which span the entire park. The park also features kid-friendly hiking trails, a jungle gym, swings, a pavilion and public bathrooms. During the winter, it has designated snowmobile trails.

History: Rockford’s Anna R. Page donated the land that would become Anna Page Park to the state of Illinois in 1939. The gift was intended to be a conservation park. Page lived on the property until her death in 1948.
