ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) – A man is fighting for his life after a gunman attacked him in Rockford early Sunday morning.
Rockford Police shared in a post on X just after 3 a.m. that the attack happened near South Main and Race Streets, southeast of Davis Park. At the time of the post, they described the victim’s injuries as life-threatening, and said he was sent to a local hospital. Police have not shared other details about the victim, but he is at least 18 years old.
Police have also not yet shared any details about the suspect or an arrest.
