EDWARDSVILLE – Edwardsville Pride Inclusivity Center is hosting “An Evening with Hirschfeld” on Thursday, Oct. 17. The evening will discuss the life of Magnus Hirschfeld, founder of one of the world’s first LGBTQ organizations, and LGBTQ life during Weimar Germany before World War II. The evening will also have a showing of “Anders als die Andern (Different from the Others),” a 1919 German movie that is one of the first positive depictions of gay men on film.
