Hamblock Ford offering free EV charging through the end of October

BELVIDERE, Ill. (WTVO) — Hamblock Ford in Belvidere is offering free DCFC (direct current fast charging) for owners of electric vehicles (EVs) through the end of October.

Hamblock Ford, located at 1800 N State Street, installed the new Blink charging stations earlier this year.

DCFC stations, also known as Level 3 chargers, can recharge a car’s battery in less than 30 minutes, depending on the model.

The dealership says it is offering free charging for all EV manufacturer models equipped with a CCS Combo socket, not just the Ford Mustang Mach-E or Ford F150 Lightning.

“We understand that our customers want choices when it comes to vehicle powertrains,” said Joe Hamblock, President of Hamblock Ford. “Whether it’s hybrid, gas, diesel, or electric, we offer a full range of options to meet our customers’ needs. By installing these state-of-the-art EV charging stations, we’re not only enhancing the overall dealership experience, but we’re also supporting the growing demand for electric vehicles.”
