Earn a free donut and cup of apple cider in exchange for blood donation

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Rock River Valley Blood Center is teaming up with Edwards Apple Orchard to encourage blood donations, as blood supplies remain at critical levels across northern Illinois.

From now until Saturday, October 26th, all donors at RRVBC will receive a certificate good for two free donuts and a cup of apple cider at Edwards Apple Orchard in Poplar Grove.

The blood center says the holiday season is crucial for blood donations.

The Rock River Valley Blood Center operates four locations across the Stateline: 418 N. Longwood Street, Rockford; 3065 North Perryville Road, Rockford; 1740 South State Street, Belvidere; and 461 East South Street, Freeport.

Walk-ins are welcome, but an appointment can be scheduled by calling (815) 965-8751.
