Rock Energy employee, killed in equipment demonstration, identified

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — The medical examiner has identified Timothy Gillitzer, 59, of Milton, as the Rock Energy employee who was killed while demonstrating equipment at the Rock County Fairgrounds on Saturday.

On October 19th, around 10:24 a.m., Rock County Deputies responded to Rock County Fairgrounds for a report of two people who had fallen from a boom truck.

Gillitzer and a 62-year-old woman from Janesville fell from the truck during an equipment demonstration. They were both taken to Mercy Trauma Center in Janesville.

The man was pronounced deceased at the hospital and the woman received medical treatment for her injuries.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the incident.
