Rockford man charged with Chicago killing

CHICAGO, Ill. (WTVO) — James Jones, 36, of Rockford, has been charged with shooting and killing a 31-year-old man and injuring a 36-year-old man in Chicago earlier this year.

Chicago Police said the shooting happened in the 4800 block of West Arthington Street on April 13th.

Jones was arrested Tuesday in the 500 block of St. Louis Avenue in Rockford.

He faces charges of First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon.
