LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — A Loves Park woman has won a 1964 Chevrolet Impala as part of a contest celebrating Rosati’s Pizza’s 60th year in business.
Rosati’s Pizza was founded in Chicago in 1964. Sam Rosati, the great great grandson of founder Fred Rosati, opened the Belvidere location in 1996.
The pizza chain operates in 12 states, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Florida.
On October 15th, select locations offered pizzas for “ 1964 pricing ” of $3.50.
Angela Lay-Meyer won the car, which was dropped off at her home on Tuesday afternoon by Rosati’s CEO Jeff Rosati.
“I just can’t believe it. I really can’t. I’m so thankful to the Rosati family. It’s beautiful,” she said.
The 1964 Chevy Impala is a sought after collectors item among gearheads, due to its x-frame chassis and long flat paneling. The Super Sport edition had a 409 V8 engine which produced 425 horsepower.
