Rockford man accused of throwing AC unit at woman, damaging her vehicle

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Scott Lewis, 48, for allegedly throwing an AC unit and stereo at a woman among other accusations.

On Nov. 4, around 7:45 a.m., officials were called to the 100 block of Lexington Avenue for a domestic battery incident. The victim told officers the confrontation started when Lewis threw the plate she was eating from.

The suspect continued to throw an AC unit and stereo at her, police reported. The victim told officers Lewis grabbed her by the arms, threw her into the kitchen counter and broke her phone as well.

Lewis went outside and started damaging the woman’s Chevrolet Equinox by hitting the vehicle with an unknown object and ramming into the SUV with his truck, officers reported.

Lewis is charged with domestic battery and criminal property damage.
