Rockford Christian’s Brooke Corrigan blazes to a pair of top-four finishes in the state swim meet.

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Brooke Corrigan has had an amazing high school swimming career with Rockford Christian. She saved the best for last. At the IHSA State Swimming and Diving Meet Corrigan had a pair of top-four finishes in the finals.

She finished in second place in the 100 breaststroke. She finished only .08 seconds behind winner Elizabeth Nawrocki. The two swimmers traded the lead throughout the race before Nawrocki tapped the edge of pool first at the finish. Corrigan’s time was 1:01.12.

Corrigan finished in fourth place in the 100 freestyle with a personal best time of 49.92 seconds. Corrigan’s finishes and her times earned her All-State and All-American status.

Corrigan, a senior, has verbally committed to swim in college for the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
