WILTON, Wis. — A Janesville man was arrested after he allegedly robbed a bank in Bloomington, MN Tuesday.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Captain Jeffrey Spencer said a 51-year-old man was wanted in connection with the robbery. He also reportedly has an outstanding warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
The Bloomington Police Department reportedly had information the man was located near the Village of Wilton.
Wilton Police and the Sheriff’s Office responded to the area, and made contact with the man outside of a home.
He was placed under arrest for the Department of Corrections warrant and charges related to the bank robbery.
The man was taken to Monroe County Jail where he is currently being held, pending extradition to Minnesota where he will face charges of allegedly robbing a bank in Minnesota.
No injuries were reported during the arrest and there is no danger to the public.
