‘Helping the community.’ Janesville church’s twice-monthly food pantry a longtime local lifeline

JANESVILLE — It was 8 a.m. on Tuesday of this week at Janesville’s Randolph Park Church of the Nazarene, and volunteers and church members were scurrying about, moving boxes loaded with fresh produce and bread in preparation for the 9 a.m. opening of their food pantry.

About a dozen tables set up in the main hall of the church, 1710 Randolph Road, were loaded with a variety of grocery items. Boxes lined the wall, waiting to be filled by pantry users.
