Cincinnati man sentenced to life in prison in Sycamore home invasion, double homicide case

The DeKalb County State’s Attorney’s Office announced Thursday that 55-year-old Johnathan Hurst of Cincinnati was sentenced to life in prison plus an additional 30 years for a 2016 Sycamore double murder and home invasion. Hurst’s motions for a new trial and judgement notwithstanding were denied by the judge before the sentencing in DeKalb County Court.
