Northern Illinois Wind Advisory: Dangerous Gusts Expected in Rockford, Joliet, and Northwest Indiana Until 12 AM Monday

Chicago, IL – Strong winds are expected to sweep across northern Illinois and parts of northwest Indiana Sunday evening, potentially causing travel disruptions and power outages.

According to the National Weather Service in Chicago, a Wind Advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. to midnight CDT Sunday for counties including Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, Lee, DeKalb, and La Salle. A second advisory begins at 6 p.m. for the Chicago metro area and extends into northwest Indiana, including Lake and Porter Counties.
