ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – The Stateline was treated to a sunny start to the workweek, albeit still a breezy one.
Temperatures topped out at 50° officially in Rockford, right on par with what’s considered to be normal on March 24, but wind gusts of up to 47 miles per hour added at least a bit of a chill to the air.
The worst of the winds are behind us. Shortly after sunset, winds will diminish to under ten miles per hour areawide, and should remain gentle through the rest of the night. We’ll see more cloudiness move in this evening, which will slow down the rate at which our temperatures will decline. Expect lows to fall to right around 30°…
