Janesville police arrest woman suspected of stealing gun from unlocked car

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WTVO) — Police in Janesville set up a perimeter and scoured the area until they caught a woman accused of stealing a gun from an unlocked vehicle on Sunday night.

According to Janesville Police, officers were sent to the 100 block of N. River Street around 8:45 p.m. on the report of the theft.

Police set up a perimeter and used a K9 to track the suspect, leading officers to apprehend Kimberly Heaps, 36, a convicted felon, who was found with the weapon in question concealed in her clothing, authorities said…
