It’s official, spring has arrived in Illinois, and all of our favorite spring and summer activities will be beginning soon!
This week my daughters start soccer and softball practices, and I can already hear their pleas to stop for ice cream afterwards. My family has several different ice cream spots we like to visit in the summer, and with a calendar full of sports games over the next couple of months, I thought I better check to see when all of our favorites open for the 2025 season.
As I started my research I quickly discovered Dairy Depot in Loves Park has not announced an season opener date yet, but Dairyhäus in Rockton, Cattle & Cream in Cherry Valley, Sips & Sprinkles in Belvidere, and The 3rd Street Station in Pecatonica are all already scooping up delicious treats. I also saw two more favorite ice cream shops announce some big news for the 2025 season.
