ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Daniel Romero, 37, for his involvement in a battery incident that left a woman with a broken nose.
Mora-Valdez was charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated battery while in a public place and mob action. She was already booked into the Winnebago County Jail on March 27th and granted pretrial release the same day.
On August 25, 2024, officers were called to the 3700 block of Florida Drive for reports of a battery incident. The victim told authorities she was invited to a house party after meeting Starlina Mora-Valdez, 37, at Brewski’s Bar on Charles Street earlier in the day.
Romero put a five dollar bill in the victim’s shirt when she arrived, so she confronted him, court documents showed. The woman told officials that Romero escalated the situation by punching her in the face, causing her to fall to the ground…
