Police: Wanted Freeport juvenile threatens to shoot another student; crowd interferes in arrest

FREEPORT, Ill. (WTVO) — Freeport Police arrested a wanted 16-year-old boy who had an active warrant and made threats to shoot another student at Freeport High School.

On May 2, officers responded to Freeport High School on West Moseley Street and found the teenager two blocks away from them.

The suspect fled on foot to a house in the 600 block of West American. He was eventually taken into custody after a struggle…
