Milton sophomore Kade Wieland successfully defends his title in Beloit Invitational at Krueger-Haskell

BELOIT — Milton’s Kade Wieland must have felt a little déjà vu happening in the 44th annual Beloit Invitational at Krueger-Haskell Golf Course.

Tied at the end of regulation for the second straight year, sophomore Wieland won again in sudden death, this time defeating Fort Atkinson senior Mason Burke on the third playoff hole.

Wieland and Burke had tied at 69 after 18 holes just as Wieland had tied his brother Brett at 69 a year ago. Oregon senior Lincoln Hottmann finished third at 71…
