JANESVILLE – A 27-year-old Janesville man, who was charged along with a Beloit woman with stealing a vehicle and then abandoning a 2-year-old child who was in the vehicle, was sentenced on Friday to three years in prison.
Kristopher Klein appeared in Rock County Circuit Court on Friday and was sentenced after pleading guilty in three separate vehicle theft cases.
In two of them, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 18 months in prison with two years of extended supervision by Rock County Judge Barbara McCrory. In the case involving the child, Klein pleaded guilty to vehicle theft, child abandonment and fleeing police. He was sentenced to three years in prison and three years of supervised released and credited with 137 days served. All of the sentences will run concurrently…
