ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – In the summer of 2024, student ticketing drew the gaze of civil rights concerns to Rockford Public Schools and the Rockford Police Department. Months later, any trace of the practice appears to have disappeared.
Records requested from the Rockford Police reveal a 99% drop in student tickets between 2023-2024 and 2024-25.
