ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – After a few early morning clouds, it has been a bright and beautiful Sunday afternoon. I really hope you were able to get outside and enjoy it! Clouds will slowly return overhead tonight leaving us mostly cloudy by the morning. Overnight lows will drop down to the lower 40s for a bit of a cool night.
We can thank the cloud cover for a low pressure system over the Rocky Mountains ejecting across the Midwest before it makes it’s way overhead Tuesday. Monday should be mostly dry and cloudy during the day. Winds out of the northeast will limit our highs to the middle to lower 60s.
