Charges have been filed against an individual who was reportedly involved in a shooting on Tuesday, May 13.
Gunfire Erupts in East Rockford Neighborhood
According to a Rockford PD press release, officers responded to reports of shots being fired just before 9 pm on Tuesday (5/13) in the 4100 block of Newburg Road.
Investigators said that victims seated inside a parked vehicle were suddenly targeted by gunfire from another car. As multiple suspects opened fire, one of the victims returned shots before the suspect vehicle fled the scene.
Even though Rockford Police said the victim’s car was riddled with bullets, police confirmed that the gunfire struck no individuals.
