Free preventative health care comes to Rockford for 2 days

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A two-day event in Rockford looks to make the community a little healthier.

On June 24, Molina Healthcare of Illinois brought its mobile health center to the YMCA on Y Boulevard. The mobile center offers preventive care, like annual physicals for kids and adults, well-baby exams and blood pressure screenings.

“Preventative health care helps us ensure that our patients and our community members are identifying any issues with their health early on,” Molina Healthcare Program Manager, Rebecca Kidd said. “The mobile clinic helps it ensure that we are offering the underserved population and increase access to healthcare.”

Patients can walk in or come with an appointment. It is also free of charge, but patients are asked to bring their insurance card if they have one…
