STATELINE. (WIFR) – After a few early morning clouds and showers, sunshine has started to make it’s return. We’ll have a fair mix of sunshine and clouds this afternoon with highs topping out in the middle to upper 80s. Dew points however, will make it feel quite sticky. They will stick to the middle to lower 70s driving our heat index into the lower 90s.
The ring of fire pattern continues to sit overhead and it continues to give us more storm chances for this afternoon/evening. These storms will be isolated to scattered in nature, but with the heat and moisture in the air, one or two of these may be strong to severe. We are in a marginal 1 out of 5 risk with the main threat being some gusty winds as storms collapse…..
