GENOA, Ill. (WTVO) — Mark Hill is determined to put copies of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution inside every school in America.
Hill was inspired by Theodore Ohman, a man who had the same dream.
“He was a Bohemian immigrant, and he came to this country in 1912 at the age of 20,” Hill explained. “He always thought it [the Declaration] was the greatest document ever written. What he did was, it was a wet process, so he drew ink off of the original declaration and laid it onto a copper plate and it took like two or three years to etch that.”…
