SOUTH BELOIT, Wis. (WTVO) — Nature At The Confluence held an Invasive Species Seminar that warned of threats to our local ecosystem. These included the Spotted Lanternfly (invasive insect), Sea Lamprey (fish invasive to the great lakes), and the Purple Loosestrife (invasive plant).
One presenter is Angelina who was working to earn her Gold Award in Girl Scouts. The Gold Award requires at least 80 hours of commitment to working on an issue she cares about in her community, and is the highest award she can earn.
