ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford’s Finance and Personnel Committee discussed the future of the Davis Park reconstruction plan Monday night.
Renovating the park is nothing new, but city officials say they just got the bids back for construction and it wasn’t what they anticipated.
“We’ve worked with the design group, and they did make some modifications,” Fourth Ward Alderman Kevin Frost said. “They had a town hall meeting, and there was a lot of input, but sometimes, the designers aren’t really cognizant of what the construction costs are.”…
