Rockford parolee charged in Dollar Tree robery

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Jeremy Keckler, 51, for allegedly robbing a Dollar Tree.

Officers were called to the Dollar Tree on East Jefferson Street to speak with one of the store’s employees on July 10, around 4:20 p.m. The woman told authorities that the suspect bought deodorant before demanding the money in the register.

The victim said Keckler had his hand under his shirt, implying he had a gun, officials reported.

When the employee ran from behind the counter, Keckler ripped the whole register off the table and fled the scene, according to court records…
