Rockford officials delay vote on Davis Park renovations

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — The Rockford Finance and Personnel Committee decided to lay over renovating Davis Park.

The planned renovations were supposed to roll out in two phases due to higher-than-expected costs and the short amount of time to renovate the park ahead of next year’s Ironman marathon.

The first phase would include building a skatepark, playground and new paths, while the second phase would include building a stage, concessions and restrooms.
