Shaped in the Stateline: Furst-McNess Company

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Furst-McNess Company has called the stateline home for more than a century.

Frank Furst and Frederick McNess started the company bearing their last names in 1908 in Freeport after working for Rawleigh in the Pretzel City. Home products were McNess’ main focus until 1959 when they shifted to their current focus: Animal agriculture.
