ROCKFORD — After delaying a decision for roughly a month, a City Council committee on Monday voted to approve contracts to rebuild Davis Park in downtown.
The unanimous voice votes came after about 35 minutes of discussion from the council’s Finance & Personnel Committee. Aldermen had questioned the scope of the project, the cost, and whether all aspects such as a skate park and playground were necessary.
The matter now moves forward to the City Council for a vote next week…
