Somebody in Rockford must have finally gotten tired of hearing that our city is famous for its potholes, because there’s asphalt going down all over town.
When I first moved here, I was gifted a piece of asphalt from an actual Rockford pothole, so I just assumed that was part of our identity.
But that is changing day by day as more orange traffic barrels pop up around the Screw City, and more roads are becoming nice and smooth.
West Riverside Boulevard Gets Long-Awaited Upgrade
According to a press release from the City of Rockford, the first of four major arterial roadway projects has been completed.
