STEPHENSON COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) – Concerns grow around the safety of Route 26 and Oneco roads in Stephenson County after a crash claimed two lives.
Heather Ramos drives on Route 26 every day as part of her commute from Freeport to Monroe, Wisconsin. She says the drive makes her nervous and she prays for a safe trip before her engine roars to life.
“I just basically slow down a little bit and let them pass,” she said in reference to other drivers. “It’s very scary and it’s definitely not safe.”…
