ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – It’s the kickoff to the end of summer Saturday at Lockwood Park in Rockford as several local families spend some time at the farm for the Back in School Fun Fair.
This year the Rockford Park District expanded its story time with animals for the event. In 2024 families listened to a bunny related story with Lola the bunny from the farm. Saturday animals like chickens were part of the mix.
In addition to usual paid Saturday activities at the park like the pony experience and horseback trail ride, Kids could participate in free activities like a relay race to get their picture taken in front of a cardboard school bus…
