Rockford’s community invited to color portraits of Hispanic leaders

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Several portraits were put on display at Rockford’s city hall to honor Hispanic leaders during Hispanic Heritage Month.

In total, there are 20 different portraits, and visitors are invited to view the portraits and even add their own artistic flair to the works of art.

“Our main goal with this is to recognize Hispanic leaders in our community that are doing really, really big things to make Rockford a better place,” explained Haley Galarza, the executive coordinator to Mayor McNamara. “Just giving them that small recognition”…
